Tips and Tricks for New Walmart Creators: Your Ultimate Starter Pack

A few ways to navigate this platform like a pro, and stand out from the crowd.

Walmart Creator Team

We like to keep things fun and light around here, but we do have some guidelines all of our Walmart Creators need to keep in mind

1. Royalty-Free Music

If using music in your post or story, it must be royalty-free. Also, please help us promote a positive and family-friendly environment by steering clear of music with any sexual references, connotations, or that could otherwise be deemed inappropriate.

2. FTC disclosure

Start or sign off every post or story with the hashtag #WalmartPartner. Please ensure it is clear, easily visible, and legible to live up to the FTC guidelines.

3. Display Walmart products (only)

When creating your content, include items purchased at Walmart, showing them off prominently and outside their packaging. The products should be the star of the show (aside from you) and the audience should be able to see the items clearly. If anything in the video isn’t from Walmart (ie., clothing), the branding should not be visible in any sponsored content.

4. Truthful and Accurate Claims

We expect our creators to be truthful and accurate in all claims made about our products, and never make false, misleading, or exaggerated claims. We take serious pride in our brand and reputation and expect our creators to do the same.

Thanks for being a Walmart Creator and for making sure your content meets our creator standards!
